Shtërpcë

Shtërpcë is a municipality in the southern part of Kosovo, located east of Prizren. It consists of about twenty villages. It is known for the fact that the majority of the population of this municipality is Serbs.

In this municipality is the only ski center in Kosovo “Brezovicë”, which was one of the most famous ski centers in all of the Kosovo.

In addition to high tourism, the municipality of Shtërpcë is also known for making extraordinary sheep and cow cheese, which is why the municipality is often called “Sirinička Župa”.

The majority of the population is engaged in agriculture, but also a large amount of income comes from tourism.

A large number of people from Kosovo, Albania, Serbia and Macedonia come to ski in the Brezovicë ski center.

A large number of locals in this municipality have developed their businesses in Brezovicë, where they have built restaurants, cottages, hotels, from which they get most of their income.
